Battery electric vehicles
A battery electric vehicle runs on an electric motor powered by a rechargeable traction battery. It needs external charging.
Two kinds of hybrid
A conventional hybrid combines a combustion engine with an electric drive and is not normally plugged in. A plug-in hybrid can accept external charging and also has a combustion engine.

Read the manual for the model and market version you are considering. Charging ports, supported power and operating modes can differ.
